In the last post we saw how life expectancy has more than doubled in the last 200 years. But it’s not just over the centuries that dramatic improvement has been made.
As you can see from today’s graph, in the last 30 years, child mortality has halved. That is yet another phenomenal achievement, and represents millions of tragedies avoided.
The rest of the graph is good news as well - people are living longer (which on the whole means healthier) lives around the world.
